Abrakadoodle - Winter Art Extravaganza Abrakadoodle after school program provides an art enrichment program for children in Grades K through 5.Winter Art Extravaganza: Masterpieces with a Twist, a unique art program designed for elementary school kids to explore their creativity and learn about famous artists. In this exciting program, young artists will have the opportunity to create three stunning winter-themed paintings inspired by renowned art legends.
Starry Night Winter Wonderland: Imagine Vincent Van Gogh's iconic "Starry Night" transformed into a magical winter scene. Kids will learn about Van Gogh's swirling, vibrant style and then apply it to their own canvas, capturing the beauty of a snowy, starry night. To mimic Van Gogh's distinctive texture, they will use basic white flour mixed with acrylic paint and a palette knife, creating a truly tactile masterpiece.
Pop Art Snowmen with Andy Warhol Flair: Get ready for some colorful, pop art fun! Inspired by Andy Warhol's bold and playful style, kids will create their own series of pop art snowmen. Using Norman Rockwell's classic snowman as their base, they’ll experiment with bright colors, repetition, and patterns to make their snowmen truly pop off the canvas.
Northern Lights Spectacular: Experience the awe-inspiring beauty of the northern lights through painting. Kids will learn techniques to blend colors and create the ethereal, dancing lights in the night sky. This painting will not only be a feast for the eyes but also a lesson in the wonders of our natural world.
Doodle & Design: Discovery happens with eyes wide open! With artfully educated eyes, students notice design in nature, engineered struc-tures, human-made products and more in the surrounding world! This new aware-ness of art elements and principles en-hances the joy of discovery in the visual world. Abrakadoodle artists doodle and design to explore new techniques, exciting materials, art history, and design-loving artists! Master Artists Cartoons: Come along to America, land of some amazing artists! Create artworks inspired by artists who explore color, celebrate uniqueness, innovate with paint, depict familiar scenes, and highlight different cul-tures. You will learn about Thiebaud’s en-ticing goodies, Grandma Moses’ charming landscapes, Steinberg’s fascinating figures and more.
